My teaching beliefs

The beliefs can grow up with each individual teacher’s career. I would like to see it as a science topic that constantly changes and build up over the years based on experiences. As teachers have experienced the methods and seen the outcomes, they start creating their own belief systems in education, not only that but reading and learning about others experiences and research-based findings also an important source of beliefs which then leads to applying the same learning methods in day-to-day practise afterwards examining and comparing it to their own experiences or findings. Over the years of study as a student and recently adapting to a teacher role will allow me to create my custom belief in language learning.

My top pick from my own list would be motivation topic which I know it very well from my own experiences as a student as well as a teacher during the short period of my career. There are two types of motivation; the first one is created by individual learners by targeting or aiming for a level that allows one to achieve over the course of a term. This creates a very strong focus on learning, desire to join conversations and ask constantly good questions to satisfy the course of study. The other type of motivation is created during the teaching session that is driven by the teacher by creating a learning strategy to eliminate becoming bored of lessons or classroom and losing interest in learning the topic.

The second most important aspect of language learning is creating a super relaxed and positive environment which learners would call it a fun, excited and important learning activity. To create such synergy among learners, the teacher has to encourage them to join discussions and provide positive feedback about their achievements.

The last but not least, the other important belief I have is self-check which is evaluation of our own methods, teaching systems and practises regularly to avoid daily routines and capture inspiring new ideas from other teachers and universities as well as government education organizations to see the new methods, new trends and new experiences. The adaption of new learning materials will also enable lessons to be more interesting.
